This was the story of a talented, rising star of a 1950's minor
league baseball team, who was hoping to sign a contract with a major league
team. In the way of success was a very minor league gangster and his two
sidekicks -an extremely sensitive bodyguard and a bubble gum chewing blonde
bombshell of a girlfriend.
Our Baseball Review followed the play and featured songs and
comedy sketches about our national pastime. The review incuded a medley of
baseball songs presented as they might have been written and performed by the
Beach Boys and other classics like the Abbot and Costello routine, "Who's On
